Heter’s Haven is committed to the ideal of “learning beyond limits.” As an Education Specialist I offer my services as a credentialed teacher, education consultant, homeschool coach, therapeutic tutor and tutor.

My husband and I opened a small private school that offers a “homeschool” type of individualized education. We also provide tutoring and consulting services. We have had students graduate from Heter Haven Academy and continued on with a college educations at four year institutes.

I taught English, creative writing, math, computer assisted instruction for the high schools. I taught a variety of subjects for our self-contained sixth graders at Gray Avenue. On special subject was Sign Language. My sixth graders learned American Sign Language, then wrote and presented a bilingual (sign and English) dramatic presentations to the hearing impaired students at our school.

I taught 8th grade self-contained classes at Arcohe. I taught pre-algebra, music, art, as well as the regular eighth grade curriculum.

We had a preschool and after school program for children beginning a age two. Activities included learning experiences with the alphabet, numbers, literature, art, music and other age appropriate topics.
